Dave Lam
Managing Principal
Dave grew up in a working-class family that taught him the values of integrity, hard work, and respect. Prior to founding Oakwood Legacy Partners, he oversaw US Air Force and US Coast Guard supply chain teams responsible for underwriting and managing small-to-medium vendor portfolios valued at $250M that included: medical services, concession services, communications/IT, construction, aircraft production, and ship repair. Additionally, Dave managed Congressionally mandated audits for a $35B UAV production program. He also served as the head of logistics and platform technology for a nonprofit NGO, Help Ukraine 22, responsible for rendering humanitarian aid to children and maternity hospitals in the recent conflict in Ukraine. Under Oakwood Legacy partners, Dave currently manages alternative investments holdings consisting of real estate, private credit, private businesses, and digital currencies. Dave holds a BS in Biology from the US Air Force Academy, an MS in Finance from Boston College, and an MBA from Chicago Booth.
